CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING

Participants will discuss how their worldview impacts their work with culturally different clients. Participants will learn how a conceptual understanding of their client can help avoid stereotypes and develop deeper knowledge of the client and their values. Participants will develop skills in using client’s cultural values and worldview to craft culturally appropriate interventions. Participants will understand the role of advocacy and social justice in supporting the needs of diverse communities
