AMCD Call for Grant and Award Nominations
The Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) is pleased to announce that the nomination process for a wide variety of awards and grants is now open!
The Awards and Grants will be presented during the AMCD Luncheon at the 2017 ACA Annual Conference in San Francisco, California. Award and Grant recipients as well as their nominators are encouraged to attend the awards reception at the Conference. In addition, recipients and their accomplishments will be featured in the AMCD Newsletter and on the official AMCD website.
GUIDELINES AND DIRECTIONS
All nominees and recipients must be active AMCD Members.
All nominations must be submitted by midnight EST, January 23, 2017.
All nomination packets must be submitted electronically in a single PDF file with the Nominee Form as cover.
Nomination packets must include the following information:
1. Awards/Grants Nominee Form as cover
2. Narrative (Please submit a narrative up to 2000 words and provide the Nominee’s biographical information as well as information regarding why the nominee is deserving of this recognition. Depending on the award, here are some examples of information that you may want to include:
o Recent professional experience
o Contributions to multiculturalism
o Awards and honors
o Publications and presentations
o Leadership and service
3. Curriculum Vitae (two-page maximum)
4. Two (2) letters of support
o Letters should include the reasons why the nominee is deserving of this recognition.

with “AMCD Nomination” in the subject line. Other formats and multiple attachments will not be accepted.
All nominations will be reviewed according to the guidelines and requirements as listed for each award. The Awards Committee will notify all nominees and nominators of the outcome by approximately February 17, 2017. For more information, please contact Yvette Saliba.
